Last month, October, Count Enrico Dobrezensky member The Order of Malta commissioned me for a very special job.
To gild the cross that crowns The Episcopal Chair at the Holy Rosary Cathedral in Vancouver , it was a gift from the Congregation of Malta to Pope John Paul II when he came to visit Vancouver in 1984.
the problem was that from a distance, the cross was loosing its characteristic shape do to the way the light was reflected.
My client told me flip it and gild with real gold, 23 carats. The original gold was with fake gold.
The pictures I was taking clearly show the all process:
Happy with the result.
Thanks for reading.
