Restoration of a gilded desktop.

After restoration.

Hello,
After a wonderful month off, in Spain, I am back in Vancouver.
The first commision I have had since being back if to restore a desktop gilded with fake gold leaf  or metal leaf.
This commission is from a new client, The Craftsman's Touch. 
The desktop was repainted with gold powder where the metal gold leaf was missing.
The most complicated part of this commission was to match the tone of the old metal gold leaf to the existing metal gold leaf on the rest of the piece.
Today I finished the table, and I am very pleased with the result, as is the client.
