Hello,
today I am posting the pictures of my most resent commission, two small round pedestal tables painted in black.
This commission was not a restoration, but more decorative. It was plating with genuine silver leaf.
The first thing I did was apply a dark blue paint to prepare the surface.
The process is the same as gilding with gold leaf.
To finish I gave two coats of protective varnish because silver will rapidly turnish.
I like the final touch, a slight patina to give an appearance of antiquity to the tables.
Thank you for Reading.
